Lost Lands

A massive, prehistoric-themed bass music festival founded by Excision, held annually in Legend Valley, Ohio.

Position :

Media Director Executive Producer Cinematographer Editor

Client :

Lost Lands

Scope :

National Campaign

Agency :

Full Time

Overview :

From the festival’s inception through the pandemic shutdown, I served as Media Director for Lost Lands, leading a 100+ person media crew across video, photo, and live stream operations. I collaborated daily with festival producers, corporate sponsors, and artist management to oversee all creative deliverables, direct cinematic campaigns, and maintain a cohesive brand identity. Working alongside festival producer Gregg Lillie, we developed the visual style of Lost Lands—an identity that still defines the experience today.

COUCHLANDS :

COUCHLANDS :

As Executive Producer of Couchlands-the official Lost Lands live stream-I led the full creative and technical execution of the festival’s remote viewing experience, which attracted tens of millions of views annually. I worked closely with festival producers to shape the stream’s creative direction, incorporating branded motion graphics, real-time artist interviews, and curated multi-cam performances. My role included directing on-site teams, managing sponsor integration (including Verizon, Red Bull, and others), and ensuring a seamless, best-in-class experience for fans around the world.

Lost Lands Media Team :

While serving as Executive Producer of the Couchlands livestream, I simultaneously built and led the official Lost Lands Media Team from the ground up. Each year, I curated a world-class roster of video and photo talent from around the globe, designing custom creative direction and deliverables tailored to each artist’s strengths. We implemented cutting-edge workflows - most notably a centralized 100TB NAS system connected to 10 editing stations, allowing multiple editors to access footage simultaneously. This innovation eliminated common festival bottlenecks and enabled us to deliver cinematic daily recaps in under 12 hours, animated social media content in real-time, and populate a media archive that powered the festival’s content for the year ahead.

Results :

What we built wasn’t just a media team, it was a movement. The work set a new creative bar for festival content, proving what was possible outside the traditional agency model. Instead of gatekeeping talent, we created a collaborative space where individual artists, editors, and filmmakers could thrive, no matter their background, by uniting around a shared vision. The result was more than metrics, it was a renaissance of innovation, trust, and teamwork. Some of the most talented creatives in the industry passed through that team, many at the very beginning of their careers. For all of us, it was a memory, a masterclass, and a party rolled into one. I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to lead such an extraordinary crew, and proud of what we accomplished together.
